So Nader's running again. He just doesn't given up - you've got to admire him for that.Away from politics, I started wondering whether he is the most linguistically accomplished candidate for US president there has ever been. He speaks English and Arabic, of course, but also Chinese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. Give him a crash course in French, and he'd have all six official languages of the UN.

Wow! Interesting how these details are not mentioned when discussing his views. They must be relevant, as they show his determination in the face of enormous difficulties. Arabic, Chinese and Russian...
Well, maybe being able to speak many languages is not a selling point in American politics, I don't know!
I do know that Nader has tended to play down or keep quiet about his Arab origins, and for sure being an Arab-American is not a point in his favour these days.
And on that note, he's the only candidate to talk in very strong terms about the suffering of the Palestinians:
